You'd better Have Two Lovers, one is Your Love and The Other Loves You.

This movie is my favorite movie among Taiwanese and foreign ones.
It was the Audience Choice Best Movie of The Golden Horse in 2012, and the actress, 桂綸鎂, got the Best Actress Award.

This film's main idea is around the title: "You'd better Have Two Lovers, one is Your Love and The Other Loves You."
What's the meaning?
We can find some hues in the ingenious order of plots.
The girl, 林美寶, was the main storyteller of this film, but other boys, 陳忠良 and 王心仁, had almost the same condition: they all had two lovers, which caused a complicated triangle.

And they just lived in a turbulent time, 1980's in Taiwan.
The time was facing significance changes but facing was often hard because you might touch something you never touched.

Their triangle was like the turbulent time they lived.

And there was a classic dialogue: "Go bed first, Taiwan will be different after waking up."

This movie also created some imagination of love and sex, and the love here concluded gay's love.When they were having sex with one, maybe there were another one in their mind.

Because 美寶 "decided" to fall in love with the second one: the boy, 阿仁, loved her and have sex without love but with him.
Because 阿良 "decided" to have sex with a police in the student movement without love but with sadness of lovelorn.

Though they all couldn't be the right person of their first lover: the one they love, they all gave both of their lovers sincere and real confession. 

Oh no I think I couldn't talk all of my opinion and touchiness to you >/<.
So you should watch this beautiful and meaningful movie by your eyes!

The movie was rewarded The Golden Horse for the Best Feature Film in 2010.

Have you ever seriously noticed the love around you?
This film was about a rebellious girl, a unmarried but pregnant minor girl, looking for the love around her.

Her name was "Lai-Chun(來春)" and she was the daughter born by concubine.

She really loved her family but she didn't know how to express.
So she often lost herself and stood in contradiction.

When she stood in contradiction, she decided to indulge herself and she wanted to see a little light to make her way to escape the contradiction clearer.

Until she was pregnant, all of her life had changed and she might faced the change.

There was some reaction happening and making Lai-Chun different.

Have you found the difference between the first one and this one?

At first, she had hysteria almost all day.
She yelled at her parents, the postman, her sister and she even bit her belly to make abortion.

Gradually, she has found the difference of her world and she has known that the difference hasn't been there because she hadn't tried to noticed.

She noticed the love around her.

Though there were some unhappiness, like the baby's father who was her ex-boyfriend, she knew that she has never cared those.

She knew that she wanted to bear her own baby and have him feel the love around her.

She has known how to express love, and she was warmer than the before girl.

Din Tao: Tradition and Teenagers

Here's the trailer.

There's no words meaning "陣頭" in English so I use the Taiwanese pronunciation to call this film.

This film is about one of the Taiwanese traditional temple fair called "Din Tao" in Taiwanese.
What is Din Tao?

Some of the Din Tao group plays the drums, and the others wear special custom on behalf of a God like 三太子 or bodyguards of Gods called "八家將."

The story happened at a traditional Din Tao family, but the main character A-Tai (阿泰) didn't like his father so he didn't want to inherit the Din Tao group.

But he was provoked by the son of the leader of the other Din Tao group, A-Xian (阿賢) and he made his decision to make his family's group better.

He mixed the modern music and art with the traditional Din Tao, and he made his effort to get his father and A-Xian's confidence to him, and he had done successfully.

The movie has taught a thing to me: "Tradition can be better if you pour some modern thing in it."

So you are never afraid to put the new and the old together.
When the beautiful reaction happens, you will be surprised!

Monga - the world of gangs in Monga when 1980s

At the first, I must show you the trailer of this film, and it has become a habit of my post~

Before you watched this movie, I thought that most people had so many question to the lives of gangs.
Specially, Monga showed the Taiwanese gangs to you, and you would know that their life wasn't just fighting.

"What's the meaning of our daily fighting?"

"I don't know what's the fucking meaning. I just know what's the code of the brotherhood."

I believe that someone who hasn't seen this film has heard the sentence.

And what I learned from this film is "the code of the brotherhood."
Though someone thinks it's just the excuses of them to fight with violence, I have my own opinion.

I think that we will give some empathy to their life, and we could compare their life to ours.

They fought for brotherhood, gangs like their second home etc..
They fought for what seemed a lot to them, and how about us? 

We fought with more and more pressure from studying and working competition, and those are related to bread (maybe your love).

So what is the difference between those in gangs and us?

At the end of this film, it is a tragedy.

The members of "太子幫" are sworn brothers originally, but they had to fight with each other because the hate from the senior gangs.

Their brotherhood crushed, and some of them dead for the crushing of their brotherhood.

It showed more and more helpless and abandon of hope of their life. They couldn't go back to their brotherhood.

Most people thought the film would give children bad example, but some movie critics didn't.
And the following is the response of the director, 鈕承澤 :
"I poured my love and introspection in this movie, and what I wanted to tell is ' never step on the bad road.' "

KANO - the enthusiastic baseball movie

Let's watch the trailer first, and you will know that my title doesn't lie to you.

The film touched me,a baseball fan,a lot, but it also can touch someone isn't a baseball fan.
Generally speaking:"The game won't over until the last out."
I think what this film wants to show us is the spirit of "never give up" and it reflects on the above slang.

KANO is a high school baseball team from Chia-Yi,Taiwan,and there are Taiwanese,Japanese and Taiwan aborigines in this team.
They were often teased because they were motley crews, and someone teased them because of racial discrimination.

But the athletes in this team has a strict but patient coach.
At the first, the athletes didn't like him.
Gradually, they found the effort and the enthusiasm of baseball which their coach gave them.
They tried their best to play every game and wanted that they can stand on the red earth on Koshien.

They almost got the champion of Koshien, but the spirit of "never give up" and their teamwork,friendship etc. were touched the audiences at the baseball court.

And this film repeated the touching scene to us.

"How dare you don't like baseball?" It's a slang that baseball fans often talked to those who don't like baseball.

After watching this film, I think that those who don't like baseball will experience the enthusiasm of baseball!!!

Cape No.7&Wei Te-Sheng--revive of Taiwanese Films

Before "Cape No.7" released, the Taiwanese films have had low box office for a long time.
But this film got more than five thousand million, and it kicked off the revival of Taiwanese films.

Why did the director, Wei Te-Sheng, start to shoot this movie?
At first, he wanted to shoot the original script of "Seedig Bale."
But he was a rookie in the movie world and nobody wanted to invest for the plan.

He decided to shoot a low cost movie, and that is "Cape No.7."

This film is about some love and lovely stories in Kenting.

There are many different stories about many different people.

For example, the members of cape band comes from different family, they grew up with different time, but all of them have a dream to show their music to more people.

And why do I say that the film represent the revival of Taiwanese films?

After "Cape No.7", people have higher willing to go to watch a Taiwanese film in the theater.

There are more new director shooting an amazing movie,which gives the Taiwanese movie world more vitality!

Talk about Giddens Ko's movies~ Part2

Hi everyone, I know you guys expect the d-day that I post the part2, and I found that most of you like Giddens' work last week~

Let me introduce the second Giddens' film: "Cafe.Waiting.Love."

Though it's Giddens' second film, but it wasn't directed by him.

This film is about a coffee shop named "Cafe.Waiting.Love."

The reason why the shop called this name is the proprietress' story when she was youth.

She likes to drink coffee, but her stomach isn't good enough to drink more.

Her husband can brew a special cup of coffee, and she called it "special of proprietress."

Since her husband dead by accident, she has waited a person who can brew the cordial taste for her for a long time.

There are another characters in this film:
A girl who takes a part-time job at this coffee shop, named"思瑩"

A clerk who is desired to brew "special of proprietress", and she is the next character's ex-girlfriend, named"阿不思"

OK, I think I don't need to talk more about the story, but I will share my experience to this film.

This film isn't like "You're the apple of my eye", it cannot bring me more touch.

But the shooting style and skills are more mature, it can give me better experience of watching a movie.

Talk about the plot.Though there is some ridiculous setting (if you have seen this film, you know what I said), but the plot can give the audiences different and abundant motion.
Take me for an example, my classmate and I cried a lot and laughed a lot when we saw this film at the theater.

Now I have not decided what movie I will introduce to you guys.
But you can look forward to it again!
